Soulja Boy Facing Another Lawsuit for Assault and Sexual Battery

was filed today (May 11) in a California state court. The rapper is being sued for domestic violence, negligence, sexual battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and gender violence.

According to the lawsuit, viewed by Pitchfork, Soulja Boy and the woman, listed under the pseudonym Jane Doe, “began their on-and-off romantic relationship in 2007,” and later “restarted their relationship in a more serious capacity in 2014 until mid 2019.” The lawsuit outlines several instances of alleged violence during the course of their relationship. According to the suit, Jane Doe was pregnant with Soulja Boy’s child in late 2015 when he “quickly became irate and violent” as they “were having a simple conversation.” Jane Does says “[Soulja Boy] began to punch [her] in the face and chest, until she could no longer stand on her feet.” She says she “[fell] to the ground,” at which point Soulja Boy allegedly “continued to kick [her] all over her body, particularly in the stomach.” Jane Doe says she “suffered a miscarriage and was unable to carry her pregnancy into full term” due to the alleged attack.
