Why Is Las Vegas Packed During a Heat Wave

The heat isn’t stopping visitors from from seeing the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.

The photo line Monday morning was not any short than the usual despite the record temperatures. One visitor from Ireland tells FOX5 he and his wife just experienced a place hotter.

“We were traveling across from Williams, Arizona and it reached 123 degrees,” said Ross and Erin Goodacre from Ireland. “It’s pretty unbearable when you get out the car.”

It rarely gets above the mid-80s in Ireland during the summer months. When it does, it only stays that way for a day or two.

This time, this is completely different for the Goodacres.
